Haematology in Obstetrics & Women's Health (HOW) Collaborative Symposium

- To foster discussion around key issues in pediatric thrombosis and anticoagulation.
- To enhance international collaborations in pediatric thrombosis and hemostasis.

- To promote the value of specific pediatric basic science research in furthering our understanding of clinical thrombosis and anticoagulation in neonates and children.

Tranexamic Acid in Trauma

This one-day symposium addresses coagulopathy in severe trauma with a particular focus on the pros and cons of anti-fibrinolytic treatment. Experts from around the world in trauma surgery, anaesthesia, intensive care, emergency medicine and haematology will convene to offer their insights and discuss the current evidence directing the use of tranexamic acid during trauma resuscitation. Along these lines also the relevance of fibrinolysis shutdown and the role of viscoelastic haemostatic assays in treatment decisions will be discussed

There will be a networking dinner held in the evening directly after the close of the symposium that is included in the registration fee.
